City in Mazandaran province, Iran


Bahnemir (Persian: بهنمير), also Romanized as Bahnamir, Bahnemīr, and Beh Namīr,[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Bahnemir District of Babolsar County, Mazandaran province, Iran.[4] It also serves as the administrative center for Bahnemir Rural District.[5]

At the 2006 census, its population was 6,836 in 1,813 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 7,410 people in 2,232 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 7,906 people in 2,541 households.[2]
