Cooper was born on October 12, 2001[3] in Bellingham, Washington.[4] She was raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and when she was 10, she moved to Los Angeles, California, where she began to pursue a professional acting career.[5][6] For almost ten years, she had roles in theater, television and film,[2] including a role as an extra in the 2012 film Parental Guidance.[7]

Cooper graduated from University of California, Los Angeles, with a major in English Literature and minor in Business from the University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business.[5][6] She has written for the Foundation for Economic Education and was an ambassador for PragerU and Turning Point USA.[2][5][8]

The Comments Section with Brett Cooper

In January 2022, Cooper signed on with The Daily Wire to start a new podcast called The Comments Section with Brett Cooper.[9] According to the "About" section of the show's YouTube channel, it is a "viral content and news review show."[10]

In March 2022, The Week described Cooper's show as "aim[ing] to capture a Gen Z audience on TikTok and YouTube."[11] In March 2023, nonprofit media watchdog organization Media Matters said Cooper had "replayed and praised" insults against influencer Dylan Mulvaney by her Daily Wire colleague Matt Walsh, who was later demonetized on YouTube for infringing YouTube policies and advertiser-friendly guidelines.[12][13]

According to Rachel Leishman at The Mary Sue in October 2023, "The trailer for the show sets it up as if she is reading comments and making a statement on what 'leftists' are saying or pushing back against liberal ideals, but in reality, she just picks a topic of conversation and shares her opinions."[14]

Personal life

Cooper announced in October 2023 that she was engaged.[15] She was married in April 2024.[16][17]
