Delevingne is a surname of old French[1] and Belgian origin. It originated from the de le Vingne,[2] also known as Vingne (de le) or de Vineis, a noble family from the 11th century Tournai, Belgium. The de le Vingne possessed the right of minting in Tournai as early as the year 1156.[3] The earliest record of the surname belongs to Éverard de le Vingne. The name Éverard was carried by most members of the lineages.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms features a silver shield with a red diagonal cross. Above the shield is a crowned helmet, and the crest on top is a pair of silver wings.
