Durgi is a village in Palnadu district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the mandal headquarters of Durgi mandal in Gurazala revenue division.[4][5] In 15th century, Durgi stone craft was originated in the village.[6]

Geography

Durgi is situated at 16.4401661°N 79.6235407°E / 16.4401661; 79.6235407. It is spread over an area of 5,762 ha (14,240 acres).[2]

Governance

Durgi gram panchayat is the local self-government of the village.[1] It is divided into wards and each ward is represented by a ward member.[7]

Education

As per the school information report for the academic year 2018–19, the village has 6 MPP, one KGBV, one model and 7 private schools.[8]
