Javier García Cuesta (born April 20, 1947 in Mieres) is a retired handball coach[1] and former Spanish handball player who competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics.[2]

In 1972, he was part of the Spanish team which finished 15th in the Olympic tournament. He played two matches and scored one goal.[3]

Javier Garcia worked as [when?] the Team Handball Coach of the Brazilian National Team.[citation needed] He held the position of head coach[4] for the United States men's national handball team from 2014 until 2018, when he was replaced by Robert Hedin.[5][6]
