South Korean footballer (born 1989)


Jung Woo-young (Korean: 정우영; born 14 December 1989) is a South Korean professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder or a centre-back for Saudi Professional League club Al-Khaleej and the South Korea national team. He was part of the South Korean team that won bronze at the 2012 Summer Olympics.[4]

Career

In May 2018 he was named in South Korea's preliminary 28-man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.[5]

On 20 July 2023, Jung Woo-young joined Saudi Professional League side Al-Khaleej on a free transfer.[6]
