KSGN (89.7 FM) is a non-commercial radio station licensed to Riverside, California, and serving the Riverside-San Bernardino area of the Inland Empire. Good News Radio is a religious nonprofit organization. It airs a Christian Adult Contemporary radio format. The studios and offices are on Orange Tree Lane in Redlands. The station holds on-air fundraisers and seeks donations on its website to support its ministry.

89.7 KSGN has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 2,750 watts as a Class A station. The transmitter is on Cloudland Truck Trail in San Bernardino.[1] It is also heard on two FM translators in Banning and Palm Springs.

History

The station signed on the air in January 1958; 66 years ago (1958-01).[2] The original call sign was KNFP. It was launched by three professors at La Sierra College (now La Sierra University) and Loma Linda University in Riverside. The station has changed its call letters several times over the years. Other call signs included KSDA, KLLU and finally KSGN.

It has always been a Christian radio station. Its business office and studios were located on the campus of Loma Linda University from 1958 to 2005. In mid-2005, KSGN relocated its business office and studios to a location in Redlands just north of Interstate 10.
