Kharv (Persian: خرو; also known as Kharv-e Bala (Persian: خرو بالا), also Romanized as Kharv-e Bālā and Khary-e Bālā; also Kharv-e ‘Olyā)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, the Central District of Zeberkhan County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 11,931 in 3,181 households, when it was in the former Zeberkhan District of Nishapur County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 14,115 people in 4,310 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 13,535 people in 4,374 households.[2]

After the census, Zeberkhan District was separated from Nishapur County in the establishment of Zeberkhan County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Qadamgah as its capital and only city.[4]
