Kuhdasht (Persian: كوهدشت and Kurdish: Kwêyeşt, کوێیەشت), also Romanized as Kūhdasht and Kūh-ī-Dasht,[3] is a city in the Central District of Kuhdasht County, Lorestan province, Iran,[4] serving as capital of both the county and the district. The people of the city speak Laki Kurdish and are Shia Muslim.[5]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 85,519 in 58,087 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 92,927 people in 22,819 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 89,091 people in 24,347 households.[2]
