John Wesley	United Kingdom	Calling at Koloa, Kaua'i, Hawaii, to load additional cargo during a voyage from Honolulu, Hawaii, to San Francisco, California, the barque was caught by a southwesterly gale with heavy swell which caused her to break her anchor chains, and, in spite of assistance from the ship Joseph Hayden ( Bremen) to warp out on kedge anchors, she was eventually wrecked on the shore.^[72] John Wesley was on a voyage from Honolulu, Kingdom of Hawaii to San Francisco, California, United States.^[73]
