Luc-Marie Chatel (French: [lyk maʁi ʃatɛl]) (born 15 August 1964) is a French politician of the Republicans (LR) who served as Minister of National Education in the government of Prime Minister François Fillon from June 2009 to May 2012.^[1] In 2014, he served as the acting chair of the Union for a Popular Movement (UMP).^[2][3]
