Pan Zhanle (Chinese: 潘展乐, born 4 August 2004) is a Chinese swimmer.
On 16 February 2024, he won the 100 metre freestyle at the 2024 World Championships in Doha, Qatar. A few days before, he became the world record holder in the 100 metre freestyle with a time of 46.80.[1] He has been the Asian record holder in the 100-metre freestyle since May 2023.[2]
He competed in the 100-metre freestyle at the 2022 FINA SC World Championships in Melbourne and broke the Asian record in the event with a time of 45.77, finishing tied sixth.
In 2023, SwimSwam magazine described Pan as being the first swimmer in history to have all three achievements of reaching sub-22 seconds in the 50 m freestyle, a time of under 47 seconds in the 100 m freestyle, and also reaching a time of under 1:45 in the 200 m freestyle.[3]
According to his latest weibo post (on Feb 29, 2024), his height currently is 189.5 cm and arm span 190.5 cm.[4]
