Proclamación de la Independencia del Perú (Spanish for "Proclamation of the Independence of Peru") is an oil painting by Juan Lepiani painted in Rome in 1904.[1] It forms part of the collection of the National Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History of Peru.[2] The 274,7 cm × 397,9 cm (1,081 in × 1,567 in) painting[1] is considered the most iconic painting about the South American country's war of independence.[3][4][5]
