Australian actor


Rahel Romahn (born c.1993)[1] is an Australian actor. He is a Kurdish genocide survivor and has Middle Eastern, European and South American heritage.[1] For his performance in The Principal he was nominated for the 2016 AACTA Award for Best Guest or Supporting Actor in a Television Drama[2] and the 2016 Logie Award for Most Outstanding Newcomer.[3] He was the winner of the 2022 Heath Ledger Scholarship, making him the 11th recipient of the most prestigious acting prize in Australia.[4]

Rahel will soon be seen on screen in Furiosa: a Mad Max Saga starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth, The Surfer starring Nicolas Cage and Wizards! starring Pete Davidson, Franz Rogowski and Orlando Bloom.

Roles he has played include the TV series Shantaram and Mr Inbetween and mini-series Australian Gangster, films Little Monsters, Ali's Wedding, Down Under[5] and Alex & Eve[6] and on stage as Mozart opposite Michael Sheen in Amadeus at the Sydney Opera House.[7]
