Mexican land grant to Antonio María Pico in 1843
Rancho Pescadero was a 35,546-acre (143.85 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day San Joaquin County, California and Alameda County, California given in 1843 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena to Antonio María Pico.[1] Pescadero means "the fishery" or "the place to fish" in Spanish. The grant encompassed present-day Tracy.[2]
