Plot

Nagappa Dora (Nassar), a wicked industrialist, runs a chemical factory in the forest region. As a rebellious teenage Naxalite tries to kill Nagappa, an upright police inspector Prakash (Mammootty) captures him. Although Nagappa assures the villagers about Bheem’s release, he conspires with the corrupt police officers to encounter him. However, Bheem loses his life due to an accident, before being shot by Prakash.

Nagappa’s bodyguard Jeevan (Suman) begins to hate Prakash for killing his nephew Bheem. As Jeevan stops Prakash from arresting Bheem’s associate, Prakash arrests him. But Nagappa releases Jeevan with the help of his influence. Therefore, Prakash scorns Nagappa during a private party, after which he gets transferred to the forest police station. Meanwhile, a beautiful dancer Ranjani (Nagma) gets entrapped in the hands of her brother-in-law Nagappa, who kills her elder sister. Ranjani starts liking Jeevan. However, Nagappa employs his men to free Jeevan, as he gets locked up by Prakash in the same forest police station. Prakash chases Jeevan to the forest village, where a young girl Malli (Mala Sri) treats Prakash’s leg injury. All the villagers, including Jeevan, come to know of Prakash’s innocence in Bheem’s death. Also, Jeevan reveals that he has married Ranjani.

As Nagappa sends his henchmen to capture Ranjani, the Minister’s daughter also goes missing. Ranjani and Jeevan come across the Minister’s daughter, who becomes unconscious after drinking the polluted water. Nagappa instigates the police to search for the Minister's daughter, during which many innocent children get shot. As the Minister finds his daughter, Prakash questions the unpardonable misuse of power. Thereafter, Prakash resigns from his job and joins the villagers.
