Rural district in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran


Taqanak Rural District (Persian: دهستان طاقانك), formerly Hafshejan Rural District (دهستان هفشجان),[3] is in the Central District of Shahrekord County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari provinces, Iran.[4] It is administered from the city of Taqanak.[5]

At the census of 2006, its population was 5,035 in 1,283 households.[6] There were 5,733 inhabitants in 1,571 households at the following census of 2011.[7] In the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 5,716 in 1,741 households. The most populous of its five villages was Shamsabad, with 2,609 people.[2]
