Ultraman Arc (ウルトラマンアーク, Urutoraman Āku) is an upcoming Japanese tokusatsu drama produced by Tsuburaya Productions. It is the 36th entry to the Ultraman Series, released to both commemorate the 15th anniversary of Ultraman Zero[3][4] and the 10th anniversary of the New Generation Heroes series. The series will begin airing on all TXN affiliated networks in Japan on July 6, 2024.[1][2]

SKIP

Scientific Kaiju Investigation and Prevention center, abbreviated as SKIP (スキップ, Sukippu), undergoes scientific investigation in order to take precautions against kaiju disasters.[1][2]

Yuma Hize

Yuma Hize (飛世 ユウマ, Hize Yūma) is a 23-year-old rookie investigator of the Hoshimoto City Branch of SKIP. He transforms into Ultraman Arc with the Arc Ariser (アークアライザー, Āku Araizā) and the Arc Cube (アークキューブ, Āku Kyūbu).[1][2]

YouPi

YouPi (ユピー, Yupī), official name YouPi the Robot (ユピーザロボット, Yupī Za Robotto), is an autonomous AI-equipped support robot of the Hoshimoto City Branch of SKIP.[5][6]

Ultraman Arc

Ultraman Arc (ウルトラマンアーク, Urutoraman Āku) is the titular Ultra of the series and the merged form of Yuma and Rution (ルティオン), the being of light from a faraway galaxy. His finishing move is Arc Finalize (アークファイナライズ, Āku Fainaraizu).[1][2] His main weapon is the Arc Eye Sword (アークアイソード, Āku Ai Sōdo). He can wear the Solis Armor (ソリスアーマー, Sorisu Āmā) and the Luna Armor (ルーナアーマー, Rūna Āmā), which is equipped with the Luna Saucer (ルーナソーサー, Rūna Sōsā) gauntlet weapon, through the use of the corresponding Cubes.[7][8]

Production

Produced by Tsuburaya Productions, Ultraman Arc was first trademarked and registered by the company on December 13, 2023, and published on December 21, 2023.[9] The series was fully revealed on April 5, 2024, alongside a short initial trailer. Tsuburaya Productions stated the theme of the series to revolve around "Dreams", and aims to be an inspiration to children about "the power to dream" and a bridge towards a bright, hopeful future. Yuki Totsuka is announced to play as the lead character Yuma Hize while director Takanori Tsujimoto will be directing the series following his last directorial role in Ultraman X. As alongside its local airing in Japan, Tsuburaya announced the series will air in other countries in both local channels and online streaming in Japan and Asia via its official YouTube Channel and Tsuburaya Imagination VoD service and Tsuburaya Connection in western territories.[1][2]
