Viscount Boyd of Merton
Viscountcy in the Peerage of the United Kingdom
Viscount Boyd of Merton, of Merton-in-Penninghame in the County of Wigtown, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1960 for the Conservative politician and former Secretary of State for the Colonies, Alan Lennox-Boyd. The Hon. Sir Mark Lennox-Boyd, youngest son of the first Viscount, is also a Conservative politician. As of 2017[update] the title is held by his eldest son, the second Viscount, who succeeded in 1983.
The family seat was formerly Ince Castle, near Saltash in Cornwall.
