Westworth Village is a city in Tarrant County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,472 at the 2010 census.[5]

History

The town's growth was helped in large part by the construction and development of Carswell Air Force Base. In 1941, the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce deeded 1,400 acres to the federal government for the construction of the base, and the town was incorporated the same year.[6]

Geography

Westworth Village is located at 32°45′34″N 97°25′7″W (32.759412, –97.418519).[7]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.0 square miles (5.1 km2), all land.

Climate

The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Westworth Village has a humid subtropical climate, abbreviated "Cfa" on climate maps.[8]

As of the 2020 United States census, there were 2,585 people, 1,154 households, and 672 families residing in the city.

The Westworth Village Police Department, based out of the Westworth Village Justice Center, serves the city.[13]
