Summary
Description "Wemberley.......Wemberley" - geograph.org.uk - 1770078.jpg |
English:
"Wemberley.......Wemberley" As my football team failed to make it to Wembley again (only one visit in 1975 - there's the clue), this is my first proper visit old or new to the National Stadium except for a greyhound meeting in 1997.
But this was for a domestic club rugby union match between Saracens & Worcester, even with the crowd of almost 41,000 it was still less than half full. Even though Saracens are based at Vicarage Road, they do play some of their home games here. A truly stunning ground nonetheless. For the record - Saracens 25pts v Worcester 22pts. |
