Summary

Description

Members of the 102nd Observation Squadron, New York National Guard, stand in front of the unit's only C-40 (?) cargo plane while stationed at Ontario, California (USA), in 1941. This plane was used to move unit supplies and ground support personnel from base to base when the squadron changed station. The squadron's 12 mission aircraft were Douglas O-47 reconnaissance planes.

Note: The plane is described as a C-47, which was much bigger.
