For this year only Chevrolet got a new chassis and new styling, it was longer, lower and heavier, with a broad grille, dual headlights, dual tail lights and deeply sculptured rear fenders. Available in base Delray, mid spec Biscayne, and top Bel Air. An option on the Bel Air, for this year only, was the 2 door Hardtop Impala (or convertible), it had a different roofline to the other Chevs, unique side trim and triple tail lights (normally double) Bodys; 2 and 4 door Sedan, 2 and 4 door Hardtop, Convertible, 2 and 4 door Wagon. Chevrolets were also produced in Australia by General Motors using modified American bodies from 1926-68.
