Summary

Description The Sunbeam Tiger was a muscle car version of the British Rootes Group's Sunbeam Alpine roadster. Carroll Shelby produced the prototype, with an engine he was very familiar with; the 260cu in Ford V8 They were built from 1964-67 and only 7085 were made. From 1959-64 the Alpine had quite pointed rear fins, but from the Series IV on the fins were reduced and the grille changed. There was a Mk I and Mk II Tiger which married up to the Series IV and Series V Alpine
