| Description |
English:
2018 AG37 imaged by the Gemini North telescope's GMOS camera on 1 and 2 May 2019. This is an animation consisting of two frames, each of which are 400-second exposures taken in the r-band filter. These images were taken as part of Scott Sheppard's follow-up observations of distant trans-Neptunian objects, under program ID GN-2019A-DD-105.
2018 AG37's apparent magnitude was 25 in these images. The stars appear elongated and faded in the 2 May 2019 image due to distortion by Earth's atmosphere. White streaks are cosmic ray artifacts. The location of 2018 AG37 in these Gemini images is mentioned in MPEC 2021-C187 : 2018 AG37 . |
