Edited Caption: B-29-50-BW 42-24795 of the 45th Bomb Squadron, 40th Bomb Group, 58th Bomb Wing, can be seen here landing on West Field, Tinian in 1945. The B-29 arrived with the unit on 29 December 1944, and would serve with two different crews on two tours of duty. She was first assigned to the crew of Capt Chester Woolsey and then Capt Rod Wriston. On 14 October 1945, she was flown back to the US by one Capt Barron, having survived the war. The unnamed #32 had, at one time, two ‘Hump’ missions (over the Himalayas), one Japanese kill, and over 40 missions credited to her, according to a photo of her and her crew under Capt Wriston.
