INDIANS BUILD ROADS TO PREVENT THEM FROM STARVING.
Owing to this failure of last year's monsoon, tens of thousands of cultivators in West Bangal <sic> are starving and the Government have undertaken Relief works, by which the Indians are roadmaking for which they receive two annas (two pence) a day.
