A taste of things to come, in Manchester.
When construction of Manchaster's 'Metrolink' tramway was begun, it was decided to put a mock-up on show to the public so they could see what the trams would look like. This was done in a railway arch off North Western street. When the real thing appeared, it showed several differences from the mock-up.
