Summary

Description
English: Aberfan Colliery spoil tramway. This photo was taken to show the tramway that took waste from Aberfan colliery to the spoil heaps high above the village. Two years later, the spoil heaps collapsed destroying the school (the red brick building mid-left) and taking over a hundred lives, mostly children.
