Notes The pitcher symbolizing a woman and playing cards, symmetrically arranged in the foreground, a symbol of a man, is an allusion to indecent final of the wedding (ace of hearts with a clear erotic meaning and nine of club a symbolic of troubles and mental frustration). The painting provide moral instruction and is a warning against the vices.
