Description
English: The calcaneum (heel bone) of two different aphanosaurs (basal avemetatarsalians). Seen in dorsal (top-down) view, with a large arrow indicating the anterior direction (pointing to the head).

A: Left calcaneum of Yarasuchus deccanensis . B: Right calcaneum of Teleocrater rhadinus (NMT RB490).

1: Concave articular socket for the astragalus. 2: Convex articular surface for the fibula.

3: Calcaneal tuber.
