Arisaka_Type_99_mum.jpg

Description
English: After the war, most all Japanese rifles bearing the Emperial "mum" were de-milled by having these crests ground off. This is a Type 99 Arisaka rifle that was acquired by my grandfather once the war had ended while he was in Japan. The Japanese symbols reading from top to bottom read 99-shiki, signifying this rifle as an Arisaka Type 99.
