Summary

Description	Photograph of a BL 15 pounder field gun of 7th Field Battery being towed cross-country by oxen, German East Africa campaign , World War I . It is identified by the axletree seats, large recoil spring on the trail, obviously heavy weight and flared muzzle. The battery of 4 guns had Mauritian and South African gunners, Indian drivers, African ammunition crew.
