The author/photographer C W Rutter died in Wisbech (his home town) in June 1929. His death certificate can be found in Volume 3b Page 614 of the British records of death. The building is described as being a ruin for 'several' decades prior to its 1966 demolition; this would suggest that the photograph was taken no later than 1900.
