English: Distribution map of Bhumij language in India; As per the 2011 census, 27,506 people returned Bhumja is their mother tongue and 34561 people returned Bhumijiali is their mother tongue. The Bhumijiali is a 80% Odia and 20% Bhumija admixture language, which is spoken by Bhumija people due to language shift mainly in Odisha (34,561), Jharkhand (84) and in West Bengal (4). and Bhumjiali is grouped in Odia language
