This photograph was taken when Chisholm was the Director General Medical Services in the Canadian Army, the highest position within the medical ranks of the Canadian Army. He was the first psychiatrist to head the medical ranks of any army.
The work was published in the article Two Billion Call Him Doctor by Robert Baker in Maclean’s Magazine on 1 May 1950.
