Summary
Description Bumper sticker remnant, Fairbanks, Alaska.JPG |
English:
Remaining fragment of a bumper sticker issued by Green Party nominee Jed Whittaker during his 1996 campaign for United States Senate, found on a light pole on South Cushman Street in Fairbanks, Alaska. His opponent was incumbent Ted Stevens; the bumper sticker read "Tired of Ted? Vote for Jed!". Because of various controversies involving Democratic nominee Theresa Obermeyer, she wound up being outpolled by Whittaker in the general election results.
