Nel 2004, i tre ex comuni di Agra, Gentilino e Montagnola si sono fusi sotto il nuovo nome di Collina d'Oro. Lo stemma comunale è frutto di un concorso su invito, aperto a vari studi grafici.

Seit dem Jahr 2004 sind die drei ehemaligen Gemeinden Agra, Gentilino und Montagnola unter dem neuen Namen Collina d'Oro vereinigt. Das Gemeindewappen ist das Ergebnis eines Wettbewerbs, zu dem verschiedene Grafikstudios eingeladen waren.
