Summary
Description Carlingford Public School Football Club Barlow medal winners 1905.jpg |
English:
Carlingford Public School F.C., winners of the Barlow medal. Back row: Mr John Main (Assistant Teacher and team manager), Bert Franks, Eric Mobbs (goal keeper), Percy (?) Franks (full-back), Stan Thacker (half-back), Wal Duffield (half-back), Mr Charles Thacker (Headmaster); Front row: Bruce Smith (forward), Len Watts (forward), Arthur Franks (forward), Erland Gorman (forward), Victor Kells (forward), Rowland Eyles (forward).
The "CFC" on Arthur Franks's jersey refers to the Carlingford Football Club which was later known as the Carlingford Merry Farmers Football Club. Note the Barlow medals on the boys' jerseys. The striped jerseys were black and red in colour and the image shows that some of the jerseys were rather worn. |
