Description
English: This is the Carreras Cigarette Factory, Eversholt Road, opposite Mornington Crescent Underground station. Built in 1926-28 to make "Black Cat" fags and the like, designed by Collins, Collins and Porri. It was stripped of it's decoration in the 1960's, and used later as Greater London House. The exterior was restored in 1996, and the cats are not the original ones (brass cats, not monkeys). The size of the factory is tremendous, must have made a lot of cancer sticks...
