Carta vinda de Fortaleza no dia 20 de outubro de 1883 e endereçada ao abolicionista pernambucano João Ramos. Na carta o Clube Abolicionista Cearense convida João Ramos a participar de um encontro. A instituição diz que o convite é uma prova da sua consideração para com o abolicionista. Nesse período João Ramos era presidente do Clube do Cupim, sociedade abolicionista pernambucana filiada a Confederação Abolicionista.
