One of The Royal Charters of Cashel, this is the one from 1663, issued by Charles II on six skins of vellum and the king's royal seal of beeswax.
Privileges granted by charters: The town is to be governed by the Provost and 12 Burgesses (Freemen). There was to be free pasture for the citizens on the Commons Land. Power was given to hold Courts to determine Civil and Criminal Proceedings. Rights to receive taxes were given.
