Description Chakram and Chintz.jpg |
Not being entirely accurate here, as I don't think a Chakram (Indian throwing weapon) is actually among the array of lethal weapons here, but when I saw the Chintzy soft furnishings, it seemed like a snappy title! This is the Hall at Florence Court in Enniskillen. In comparison with the Hall at Powerscourt House where we visited recently, there're far fewer mounted heads but here we have a hair-raising array of weaponry that we just haven't come across before. It would be excellent to get accurate names for some of them... Photographer: Almost certainly Robert French of Lawrence Photographic Studios , Dublin Date: 1890s??
