Closing page from a ziyaratnama (letter of recommendation) issued by the shrine of Imam Riza at Mashhad on 14 Dhu'l Hijja 944/5 July 1533. This letter recommending Darvish Khidr Shah as a worthy person who had performed the pilgrimage to Mashhad was intended to afford protection. Originally in the form of a scroll, it has been cut into sections. It is penned in elegant taʿIiq script in alternating lines of blue, black, and gold and stamped at the bottom with seals mentioning the seventh imam ʿAli ibn Musa ibn Jaʿfar, who is buried at Mashhad. 25 x 18 cm.
