Summary

Description
English: Everyone in Dublin seems to have an opinion on the Central Bank. Designed by Sam Stephenson in 1978, the controversial, ultramodern glass-and-concrete building suspends huge concrete slabs around a central axis. It was originally one story higher, but the top floor had to be lopped off as it was hazardous to low-flying planes. Watch out for -- or just watch -- the skateboarders and in-line skaters who have taken over on the little plaza in front of the building.
