Crites Octagon House, Circleville, Ohio. Driving north from Pike County, Ohio in late afternoon we saw the house in the warm light. My first photo (comment below) was taken on a bleak, cold day back in January 2007. No restoration progress seemed apparent. The house was moved when the new Walmart shopping center was built and restoration is planned. To see the house, you turn right from the north edge of the Walmart parking lot and go east about a half mile to the end of the street Here's an excellent link that even has a location map.: www.forgottenoh.com/Crites/crites.html |
