Deutsch:
Der 1352 erstmals urkundlich erwähnte Ort gehörte zur sanktblasianischen Vogtei Schönau unter österreichischer Landesherrschaft und kam mit dem vorderösterreichischen Breisgau 1806 an Baden. Infolge der Auflösung der Talvogtei wurde Tunau 1809 selbstständige Gemeinde. Ein erstes Siegel ist 1811 nachzuweisen. Es ist, wie alle weiteren im 19. Jahrhundert, ein bloßes Schriftsiegel. 1903 entwarf das Generallandesarchiv das Wappen, das mit dem bäuerlichen Symbol der Pflugschar auf das damals überwiegend landwirtschaftliche Gepräge der Gemeinde anspielt, während die nach Einwohnerzahl und Gemarkungsfläche kleine Gemeinde heute als Pendlerwohngemeinde zu charakterisieren ist. Im Mittelalter wurde hier nach Silbererz gegraben, weshalb das Wappenbild auch irrig als auf den Bergbau hinweisende Schaufeln gedeutet wurde.
