Description
English: Overview of the Davis Island Lock and Dam Site , located on the right bank of the Ohio River in Avalon , Pennsylvania , United States . The photo is taken from the Fleming Park Bridge to the southwest. Built in 1885 and dismantled in 1922, it was the first dam on the Ohio River, and the dam's remnants are listed on the National Register of Historic Places .
