Summary

My copy of a portrait of Babcock painted prior to his death in 1783. It is estimated to have been painted by Joseph Blackburn around 1761 with oil on canvas, 45 1/8 x 36 3/4 in. (114.6 x 93.3 cm) [1] As of 2010 the original painting is owned by the Boston Museum of Fine arts.
