Summary
Description Dutch Gainor, 1928 photo by the Detroit Free Press (cropped).jpg |
English:
Caption text says "Since Detroit broke into professional hockey two years ago, the Cougars have been able to beat the Bruins only once in eight games. Art Ross's band of puck chasers is here again tonight for the third duel of the season between the clubs, the Bruins having won both in Boston and here this season. Lionel Hinchman, giant defense man, is shown on the extreme left with Fred Gordon, right wing, second from the left. Hal Winkler, one of the best goal tenders in the business, is the figure in the center. Norman "Dutch" Gainor, one of the finds of the season, is second from the right. He plays center and left wing. Harry Oliver, leading scorer of the Bruins, is on the extreme right. He plays right wing."
